© Bernt Rostad / Wikimedia CommonsThe retrospective of the British Graffer artist Banksy, who was supposed to take place of the Manege exhibition hall in Moscow in the fall of this year, was canceled due to organizational problems.
“For reasons beyond the reasons, some key British owners of the works abandoned their participation in the project, which makes it impossible to continue work,” the press service of the Manege museum and exhibition association quotes ITAR-TASS .
On the Moscow retrospect, it was planned to present more than 130 Banksy works - painting, sculpture, graffiti, collages, objects, videos.
For the exhibition, the organizers were going to recreate a typical English city with walls, houses, landfills, playgrounds, shops, which are a traditional space for the works and creative actions of Banksy in real life.
“The public resonance and universal interest in the project allow us to hope that the partners will reconsider their point of view in the future, and Moscow will still see Banksy,” the Manezh press service said.
