The TFR did not allow the party activist on December 5, Konstantin Yankauskas, placed under house arrest on charges of fraud, personally visit the district election commission and submit documents for nomination with a candidate for deputies of the Moscow City Duma. Gorelik added that the official response to the application containing a motivation for refusal has not yet been received. At the same time, she noticed: "It is strange if they allowed him to submit documents." The opposition’s wife expressed confidence that the decision of the TFR was politically motivated and aimed at preventing Yankauskas to the elections.

In the same way, the lawyer of politician Sergey Panchenko regarded the refusal. A visit to the Yankauskas of the election commission, he said, could not affect the investigation of the case. The lawyer added that he would appeal the decision of the TFR in court.

Yankauskas was sent under house arrest on June 11 . He is charged with theft during the campaign of Alexei Navalny in the elections of the Moscow Mayor in the summer of 2013. Together with him in the case, the Party of Progress Party Nikolai Lyaskin and the Executive Director of the Corruption Fund Vladimir Ashurkov are held. On Monday, Navalny turned to the leaders of the Communist Party and Yabloko with a request to include Yankauskas and Lyaskin, who also intends to run for the Moscow City Duma, and several other nominees of the opposition coalition for Moscow to the election lists of his parties.
