
The forensic examination established the reasons for the death of people during the riots and the subsequent fire in the house of trade unions on May 2, 2014, UNIAN reports with reference to the Odessa Regional Bureau of forensic medical examination.
As the head of the Medexpert Court of Court Grigory Krivda told reporters, nine people died due to carbon monoxide poisoning, two died of burns, three more because of burns of the body and respiratory tract. In addition, six people died as a result of bullet wounds received in the city center, eight-due to injuries when falling from a height
Of the victims, five people received burns of the respiratory paths of the body in combination with poisoning with unspecified gases and combustion products. Burns of the respiratory tract in combination with poisoning with unsuitable gases are one person. The largest group is poisoning with unspecified gases, smokes, evaporation - 14 people, ”he explained.
In total, during the riots in Odessa on May 2 and a fire in the city house of trade unions , 48 people were killed, another 247 were injured of varying severity.
