The authorities of the Novosibirsk region want to give municipalities more powers in the content of FAPs

This was announced on June 24 by the acting governor Vladimir Gorodetsky at a meeting of municipalities. The event was attended by 468 delegates from 490 municipalities of the Novosibirsk region. The main topics of the meeting were the prospects for the development of local self -government and the integrated development of rural territories. In his speech, Gorodetsky emphasized that the municipal power, as the closest and most affordable to people, should have all the necessary powers and resources in order to solve vital issues.

Recall that the Novosibirsk region before the end of the year should prepare their own amendments to the law: the regions received the right to determine the methods of electing heads of settlements - by direct voting or from the City Council. Regional parliaments and governors will decide how to generally form local governments on their territory and what additional powers, including financial ones, to endow municipalities.
