A week of actions in support of Alexander Kolchenko will be held in July

According to the anarchist portal Avtonom.org , a week of international actions of solidarity with Oleksandr Kolchenko, a defendant in the case of “Ukrainian terrorists in Crimea”, is scheduled for July, which received a wide response due to the fact that the FSB considers the well-known film director Oleg Sentsov to be the “terrorist leader”. Kolchenko is an anarchist, and his ideological associates intend to organize protests from 15 to 22 July.

The FSB took a non-disclosure agreement from the lawyers involved in this case. According to Kolchenko’s associates, he admits that he “was at the scene when one of the offices was set on fire” (either the Simferopol “United Russia” or the “Russian Community” - the detainees are accused of attacks on them), but neither he nor his defenders categorically disagree with the qualification of arsons as terrorist attacks: both fires were quickly extinguished, no serious damage was caused to property, and people in empty buildings at night could not have been injured.

“Even more absurd are the accusations of creating and participating in a terrorist community, preparing to blow up monuments and “sabotage and terrorist activities”, since this information was obtained from prisoners cooperating with the investigation under pressure. The accusation of anarchist and anti-fascist Alexander Kolchenko of involvement in the Right Sector sounds like a mockery of common sense, since Alexander consistently opposed all varieties of ultra-right ideology and was repeatedly attacked by Crimean neo-Nazis,” the anarchists believe.
