Vladimir Markin will shoot in the "Fool's Day"

The official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Vladimir Markin will play in one of the roles in the film "The Day of the Fool" based on the Gogol's "Examiner".

“When we accidentally learned that Bekmambetov’s studio began preparing the film based on the“ Examiner ”, we met with the producer and authors of the picture, after which we came to the conclusion that to approach the serious topic of the fight against corruption is a very strong creative move,” Markin told Interfax .

“According to the results of the discussion, we agreed to act as consultants of the film, and I was invited to play one of the roles in it,” he added. At the same time, Markin did not specify which character will play in the "Fool's Day". “Let's save the intrigue. I can only say that I actually play myself in this film, ”said the official representative of the TFR.

According to Markin, Bekmambetov’s new film will be released in the fall, approximately in November, and this will be a “noticeable creative project”.

“The role of the Investigative Committee in the film is reflected extremely positively. The picture, in my opinion, will become a kind of preventive measure in the fight against corruption. The topic will be fed through humor in the most intelligible form, ”concluded Markin.

The film "Fool's Day" is shot by director Alexander Baranov at the studio of Timur Bekmambetov Bazelevs , Vedomosti reports. The producers of the film said that the idea to invite Markin to one of the roles came to them by accident.

“More than a year ago, in one of his interviews, Bekmambetov spoke about his plans to remove the adaptation of the“ auditor ”, in which officials of the provincial town of the upper boot take the young man who accidentally stopped to them for the investigator. The very next day we were called to the Investigative Committee. Its representatives really liked the project, and they offered advisory services. Then we had the idea to shoot Markin in the film, and in the course of work on the film there was also a suitable role, ”said Marina Zatulovskaya, one of the producers of the tape.
