This week it will be awarded for the first time in a new format. The name "TEFI" and the award statuette decided to leave. But now it is not awarded by members of the Academy of Russian Television, but by a special jury appointed from television channels. The Channel “Russia-1”, belonging to the state media holding of the VGTRK, will be broadcast on June 27-for the past five years he boycotted TEFI. Many Academicians of the Arts did not receive an invitation to the ceremony this year.

The circumstances and conditions of the Renaissance of TEFI are already more or less known. It is known that the brand bifurcated. One is “TEFI”-REGION. ” The other is just TEFI. Strictly speaking, this distinction was previously, but now it will be, I will allow myself to express himself, constitutional. The award ceremony will be held within the framework of different organizations.

Their bosses are known: Alexander Akopov and Pavel Korchagin. Both people are authoritative in a television environment. The first was assumed by the San of the President of the National Academy, which will be limited to distributing statuettes to representatives of provincial television companies. The second is the General Director of the recently educated committee of industrial television awards. From now on, he is responsible for holding TV championships on a federal scale.

Troika of finalists in 24 nominations are already known. Members of the jury in the amount of 140 people are appointed. Their names and surnames can be found on the committee’s website .

The most proud the committee is represented by its general director Pavel Korchagin, it is a mechanism for identifying the winners. Firstly, transparency of the procedures. Secondly, their objectivity. It was these two points that were the most vulnerable places before. In fact, the former Academy was blown up on them. And no matter how the academicians sat down to judge the contestants, and everyone did not suit the judges. Each time there were responsible leaders of the main and optional television channels, who believed that they were disheveled. Intraspecific competition is more acute and uncompromising than interspecific competition. Especially when we have to deal with the conflict not only of the interests of the material order, but also of creative ambitions. The Russian TV channel often lost the first in terms of the number of awards, and this greatly hurt the pride of the authorities.

New procedures for selecting nominees and identifying the winners among them, at first glance, equalize the starting positions of both large and small television producers. Each of them has a quota for twenty representatives in the jury.

Here, however, the question is immediately: how is twenty, is it elected or appointed? “Assigned,” they explain with inaccessible. "And by what principle?" - The unacceptable are interested.

On this matter, the light goes out, and the names and faces of the electors emerge in alphabetical order. Famous faces - with famous beliefs and with understandable preferences. Such as Ashot Gabrelyanov, Dmitry Kiselev, Irada Zeynalov, Peter Tolstoy, Alexei Pushkov, Margarita Simonyan, Vladimir Solovyov, Ernest Matskyavicius, Boris Korchevnikov ... This, one might say, is almost all of the propaganda army of Russian TV.

The jury list, however, also includes those employees of the TV with whom the ideas about real, inagged journalism are associated - Anatoly Lysenko, Alexei Pivovarov, Leonid Mlechin, Vladimir Pozner, Marianne Maximovskaya. The second is much less than the first. I won’t get to calculate those who are more devoted to the profession, and who to the authorities. But I dare to assume that here the ratio of both is not in favor of objective journalists. So you can guess what work and which of the masters will be in the focus of attention of one hundred and forty electors.

However, why guess? Something can already be judged, looking at the three finalists. As for the artistic and game segment, here the choice of the jury turned out to be quite logical. Of course, the series "Thaw" on Channel One is a leader in the number of nominations. He has five of them. Here is the “best series”, and “best actor”, and “best actress”, and “television producer of the season”, and, finally, the “event of the season”. The VGTRK on the Serial Front could not expose anything, except for the very weak in artistic terms of “demons”.

In a good way, the “demons” of Vladimir Khotinenko is not a competitor to “thaw” Valery Todorovsky. But when three applicants come across a narrow path, different combinations are possible. In the nomination “Best Actor”, artists Yevgeny Tsyganov, Mikhail Efremov (both of the “thaw”) and Anton Shagin (“Demons”) met. To try to predict the outcome of the “fight”, several factors must be taken into account at once. Firstly, those members of the jury who are directly or indirectly connected with the channel cannot vote for the nominee of this channel. (This is a new rule; it is realized in a technical way.) Secondly, the sympathy for the picture of Todorovsky can be divided between its two artists and as a result of the majority of the vote will be on the side of the third opponent, Anton Shagin.

The idea with the locking of voting “behind your” is reasonable. This is such an antidote from corporate patriotism. But the designers of the new rules of the game at TEFI did not take into account the circumstances that the jury can vote not only “for”, but also “against” by default. That is, in spite of the main competitor. In the nomination “Television series”, the uncompromising confrontation of “thaw” and “demons” can lead to the victory of “interns”.

Or another example. The nomination “The Event of the Television season” again reduced two projects of one channel (first): “Thaw” and “The opening ceremony of the XXII Olympic Games in Sochi”. The third is appointed “a series of information plots, special reports, documentaries, special projects dedicated to the crisis in Ukraine” (manufacturer: VGTRK, Rick ESMI “Russia 24”; broadcasting channel: “Russia 24”). Again, the voices of the jury members who sympathize with the first channel can scatter, and the project that seemed the third superfluous will become the only winner.

In the “evening talk show” nomination, it is necessary to choose between completely difficult programs-“let them talk”, “temporarily accessible” and “Sunday evening with Vladimir Solovyov”. Here, the jury will not be subjected to the dough for corporate patriotism, but on state-political patriotism.

As in the case of the nomination “Leading Information Programs”, in which Dmitry Kiselev received very weak rivals - Vadim Takmenev and Dmitry Borisov.

Andrei Kondrashov was also lucky with his documentary project "Afghan". Nearby - “Romanovs” (Channel One), “Solomon Volkov. Dialogues with Evgeny Yevtushenko ”(Channel One).

But the bets are made. The last question - why is this all the game with the labeled cards Kiselev and his associates?
