According to the director, the decision of the expert council was canceled by the head of the Ministry of Culture Vladimir Medinsky. “The Minister of Culture canceled the decision of the expert council of the ministry headed by him!” Writes Vitaly Mansky on his Facebook.
“Public protection of special projects of non -game cinema took place at the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation on May 23, 2014. - explains the director. - On the same day, after signing, the expert vote protocol was published on the Ministry of Culture. A day later, he was removed from the site. "
In the Department of Cinematography of the Ministry of Culture, Mansky was explained by the fact that the order was on signatures by Medinsky. On Saturday, June 28, the protocol was repeatedly published on the Ministry of Culture , but without the "relatives" project.
“In all likelihood, the decision to refuse the“ relatives ”project was made directly by the Minister of Culture,” Mansky concludes.
The film "Relatives" talks about family history divided by events in modern Ukraine and in the countries of the former USSR. Studio "Vertov. Real cinema ”began filming the film in early May.
