
The Verkhovna Rada established the Order of Heroes of Heavenly Hundred. It is reported by Ukrainian Pravda. In support of such a decision, 244 deputies voted. The Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to hold the All -Ukrainian competition for the best sketch of the award.
As stated in the law, the Order will be awarded to the participants of the Revolution of Dignity, held in November 2013 - February 2014, as well as other people who showed themselves in protecting independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The bill on the establishment of the Order was submitted to the parliament on June 26 by President Petro Poroshenko.
Heavenly hundreds in Ukraine are called participants in the revolution who died at the hands of the security forces. In total, over 100 demonstrators were killed during protests in the country. Particularly bloody were clashes in the center of Kyiv on February 18-20, in the last days of Viktor Yanukovych's regime.
After the victory of the revolution on Institutskaya Street, where the battles passed, a monument to heavenly hundreds was composed of paving stones. On March 30, they also consecrated the chapel in memory of the dead.
