Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova failed to reach the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, losing to German athlete Angelique Kerber with a score of 6:7 (4:7), 6:4, 4:6 in the fourth round.

According to Interfax , Kerber will play with Canadian Eugenie Bouchard in the quarterfinals.
