The leader of the International Eurasian Movement, Alexander Dugin, confirmed his separation from the Department of Sociology of International Relations of the Faculty of Sociology of Lomonosov Moscow State University, which he headed since 2009.

On his Facebook page, Dugin claims that he was fired. After yesterday's statement by Moscow State University that the professor of sociology was not deprived of his job, there followed an explanation that the very vote at the academic council, thanks to which Dugin became the head of the department, was a technical error. Its essence lies in the fact that the politician worked at the university on an extra-budgetary salary, and such employees do not undergo competitive election.

“The faculty unanimously supported me, but the rector [Viktor Sadovnichy] was not at all impressed. Therefore, from the procedural side, the situation is completed - the dismissal has taken place,” Dugin said.

The political scientist claims that Sadovnichy did not make the decision alone. “He called to a fairly serious top level, and they supported him. This is a very bad sign. This is lunar Putin, there’s no other way to explain it,” Dugin is sure.

The politician is confident that the reason for the personnel decision was his position on the situation in eastern Ukraine. “My dismissal could not have happened without a sanction from above, and even on the initiative of the Kiev Nazis and Russian liberals. This means that this sanction was received. We are recording the situation. The joy of the liberals, Ukrainian Nazis and Satanists was not in vain,” Dugin explained the situation.

The day before, the dean of the Faculty of Sociology, Vladimir Dobrenkov, who supported Dugin, also left his post. His departure is due to the expiration of his employment contract. At the same time, it is indicated that Dobrenkov will remain at the social department with the rank of professor.

The sociology faculty refused to comment on the situation around Dugin, citing a lack of information.

On May 6, Alexander Dugin gave an interview to the Donetsk Internet TV channel ANNA-News in which he called for “kill, kill, kill” those who allow “atrocities in Ukraine.” After this, the website change.org began collecting signatures for an appeal to Sadovnichy demanding that Dugin be fired from Moscow State University.
