The Basmanny Court arrested Kolomoisky in absentia

The Basmanny Court of Moscow decided on the absentee arrest of the Governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine Igor Kolomoisky, RIA Novosti reports. His defender Alexander Fomin said that he intends to appeal the court decision.

In the near future, investigators plan to send materials to the court on the arrest of the acting Minister of the Interior of Ukraine Arsen Avakov.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Kolomoisky and Avakov, and then put them on an international wanted list.

Russian investigators believe that Avakov, one of the coordinators of the anti-terrorist operation in the southeast of Ukraine, acting in coordinated by Kolomoisky and other persons from among the highest leaders of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, from April 12 "intentionally for the murder of civilians" organized a military operation and led it.

The TFR also believes that the detention of Russian journalists from the pro -Kremlin media, in particular, journalists of the Zvezda television and radio company Andrei Sushenkov, Anton Malyshev, Evgeny Davydov and Nikita Konashenkov, was also carried out with the knowledge of Avakov. In the Investigative Committee, these actions are called "kidnapping."

On June 4, a special department in Ukraine was created in the Investigative Committee for the investigation of "international crimes against civilians." Even then, the department announced the possibility of opening cases against Avakov and Kolomoisky. It was claimed that the management will act, "so far all the Ukrainian military and persons committing crimes against civilians will be prosecuted."
