Medinsky urged to reform the tanks

Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky considers it necessary to reform all theaters of the young spectator in Russia and calls for these theaters not to get carried away with the "new reading" of the classics.

In all likelihood, Medinsky had in mind the “dead souls” in the production of Kirill Serebrennikov, who on Wednesday, July 2, received the “Crystal Turandot” award for this performance in the “Best Director” nomination. The best performance was recognized by the “Lady Macbeth of our county” by the Moscow Theater of the Young Spectators.

According to Medinsky, in the theaters of the young viewer in the regions it is necessary to put works of the school curriculum, and, to do this "technologically modern, but without essential distortions, without oddities under the guise of a new reading."
