
The deputy mayor of the capital, Maxim Liksutov, increased the amount of claims for the claim for the protection of honor and dignity for Alexei Navalny and his associate Georgy Alburov. It is reported by Interfax .
As reported in court, during the pre -trial training on July 3, representatives of the plaintiff said that now their principal demands a million rubles from each of the defendants: Navalny, Alburov and the “Foundation for Combating Corruption”. In addition, the deputy mayor asks 500 thousand rubles as compensation for the work of his lawyer. Thus, the amount of the claim increased to 3.5 million rubles.
According to representatives of Liksutov, in case of winning, this amount will go to people with disabilities.
It is reported that representatives of the defendants did not appear in court.
On June 12, it became known that Liksutov filed a lawsuit against the opposition. On May 27, information was published on Navalny’s blog that Liksutov “intentionally and rudely” violates the Law of the Russian Federation “On Combating Corruption”, as well as a ban on owning foreign assets. The Moscow official denied this information. This issue was later discussed at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council under the mayor of Moscow to counteract corruption, but this body did not have any complaints about Liksutov.
