
On July 7, at 11:00 in the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow, the investigation will be examined to extend the arrest of director Oleg Sentsov. The case is considered by Judge Elena Galikhanova.
Sentsov was arrested in Crimea on May 11 on fabricated charges of preparing terrorist attacks. On May 30, the Russian FSB reported on the detention of members of the Right Sector diversion-terrorist group in Crimea, whose members are suspected of preparing sabotage and terrorist acts in a number of cities of the peninsula. Sentsov, Gennady Afanasyev, Alexei Chirniy and Alexander Kolchenko are detained, they will be charged.
According to the FSB, the detainees were prepared "as part of the terrorist community for explosions on the night of May 9, home -made explosive devices near the Eternal Flame memorial and the monument to Lenin in Simferopol, as well as arson of the offices of the Russian community of Crimea and the representative of the United Russia party in Simferopol on April 14 and 18, 2014."
Later, the FSB said that "the suspects give confession about the participation of representatives of the" Right Sector "in the organization of terrorist acts in the Crimea."
