The Minister of Defense of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic Igor Plotnitsky said that the militia forces captured the attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Su-25 Air Force, who made an emergency landing, ITAR-TASS reports .

“The LPR army will finally have its own aviation,” the Plotnitsky agency quotes.

The aircraft needs to be repaired, but its operation is possible. Where exactly the plane was captured and where he was going to take off, the representative of the LPR did not specify. Also, according to him, the militias received the T-72 “Ural” tank, which was in service with the Ukrainian army.

Information about the capture of the aircraft also appeared on the page of the Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov in the social network VKontakte.

“The Ukrainian combat aircraft Su-25 made a forced landing on one of the airfields of the Luhansk region. The pilot surrendered. The militias also have tanks, artillery and even reactive systems of the Grad. The question of the environment and the blockade of Lugansk is not yet worth it, ”the report said.
