
The Basmanny District Court of Moscow authorized the correspondence arrest of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, the press service of the TFR reports . Russian investigators accuse his organizations of murders, the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, obstruction of the professional activities of journalists, and abduction of people.
Within the framework of the incomplete TFR of the case under Part 1 of Article 356 of the Criminal Code (the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare) more than six thousand people were interrogated, they note in the TFR. Of these, about three thousand were recognized as victims. The "persons who have forced to leave the territory of Ukraine from April 14, 2014 are interrogated in connection with the conduct of hostilities." In addition, an interrogation of those who arrived earlier is underway if they have relatives in the conflict zone.
“Along with other evidence, the testimony of witnesses and victims confirm the version of the investigation about the involvement of Avakov, as well as Ukrainian military personnel, armed members of the National Guard of Ukraine and the“ Right Sector ”to these crimes,” the TFR claims.
The Basmanny Court previously authorized in absentia of the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration Igor Kolomoisky, whom the Investigative Committee accuses in the same case. Avakov and Kolomoisky were put on the international wanted list.
On June 16, the TFR reported the initiation of the case against Avakov and Kolomoisky . They say that they, together with the leaders of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, "deliberately with the aim of killing civilians" coordinated the anti -terrorist operation in the east of the country. In the course of the ATO, the TFR says, "in violation of international law, intentionally, with the aim of killing an unlimited number of civilians," applied the weapons of indiscriminate action.
As a result of this, the department continues, more than 100 civilians died. Among them, the TFR mentions the journalists of VGTRK Igor Kornelyuk and Anton Voloshin, who were killed on the eve of the Luhansk region, as well as those who died in May under the Slavic Italian reporter Andrea Rockelli and Russian translator and human rights activist Andrei Mironov.
Also, the TFR claims more than 200 wounded civilians and more than 50 thousand refugees from the Donetsk and Lugansk "people's republics" to Russia. It is also mentioned of significant material damage that the ATO entailed.
Along with this, the Investigative Department announced the involvement of Avakov, Kolomoisky and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in the detention of a number of Russian journalists, including employees of the Zvezda television channel Andrei Sushenkov, Anton Malyshev, Nikita Konashenkov and Evgeny Davydov.
On June 4, a special department in Ukraine was created in the Investigative Committee for the investigation of "international crimes against civilians." Even then, the department announced the possibility of opening cases against Avakov and Kolomoisky. It was claimed that the management will act, "so far all the Ukrainian military and persons committing crimes against civilians will be prosecuted."
