The strategy of socio-economic development of the Arkhangelsk region until 2030, developed back in 2008, has lost its relevance. It is based on a mechanism based on industry priorities. However, at the moment, plans and tasks have changed, therefore, from previous industry priorities it is worth moving on to intersectoral priorities (the formation of design areas). This is the opinion of the Minister of Economic Development and Competitive Policy of the region Irina Gladysheva.
The minister emphasized that at the time of development of the strategy in the region, there were five main industry priorities. “Today we understand that the previous strategies have lost its relevance. We are set so comprehensive tasks that they cannot be divided. Transport cannot separately exist from tourism, and vice versa. One of the problems of the region is the transport inaccessibility or the quality of transport logistics. In the region’s investment strategy, all projects should be laid in programs, and then in projects, and then we are talking about investment. Therefore, we speak. The fact that the previously adopted strategy in its original form cannot be used, ”said Gladysheva.
She noted that in the previous strategy, for example, the problems of single -industry towns were not noted. “There are six such territories in our region, the largest of them are Severodvinsk, Onega and Novodvinsk. To date, the task is to get away from the monoprophicism of these territories. However, this is not easy to do. Always Severodvinsk was the center of shipbuilding and shipbuilding. It is impossible to get away from this, since it is necessary to attract about 12 thousand people to ensure orders of enterprises. It is necessary to look for new areas of economic activity and gradually move away from the monoprophilism of territories. To do this, you need to bet on business, ”the minister added.
