TFR investigates the case of the death of 5-year-old Katya in the basin of the Turkish hotel

Doctors could not save the life of a five-year-old girl from St. Petersburg, who fell into whom, after falling in a pool in a Turkish hotel on June 19. According to the IC of the Russian Federation , Russian investigators initially opened a criminal case of causing serious harm to health.

The five -year -old Katya Efimenko, who came with her parents to rest in Turkey, remained in the pool on June 19 unattended and choked with water. The doctors managed to pump out the child, the girl was in the clinic in a stably serious condition. On Saturday, Pavel Astakhov, the Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation for Child Rights, said that she had died.

The Ministry of Emergencies and the Ministry of Health were ready to organize the evacuation of the girl to Russia, but the condition of the child did not allow organizing transportation.

This is not the only case of the death of a child in the Turkish basin in recent years, it resembles Interfax . On June 29, under similar circumstances, a six -year -old boy from the city of Almetyevsk drowned. Despite the efforts of the doctors, the child died, Russian investigators find out the circumstances of the incident.

Both incidents occurred in Alanier - a district on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, a widely known center of tourism.
