"Naftogaz" threatens to disable gas for debts to Kyiv, Kharkov and Poltava

NAC Naftogaz Ukraine sent an order to disconnect from the gas supply of Kyivnergo OJSC and a number of other Teplocomunenergo enterprises, which continue to accumulate debt for the consumed fuel, in particular in Kharkov and Poltava.

According to the company’s press release, Kyivenergo OJSC has a debt for the gas received in the amount of almost 1.8 billion UAH. It is noted that deliveries to the main generating capacities - the TPP -5 and TPP -6 - will not be discontinued, but it will be limited "to the technological minimum", Interfax reports.

On the website of the company DTEK (the largest energy company of Ukraine, controlled by Rinat Akhmetov), ​​it is said that the TPP-5 and TPP-6 generate 1200 MW of energy, and also supply the city with warmth.

Also, the list of companies to which NAC Naftogaz Ukraine terminates gas supplies, included Kharkov TEP -3 (debt size - 1.8 billion UAH) and Poltavabolenergo PJSC (600 million UAH).

A total of large debtors - 36 companies. However, Naftogaz notes that they will not disconnect from the supplies of a company whose debts appeared due to the fact that the state or local authorities did not transfer compensation for the difference in tariffs. The list also did not include companies that are located in the zone of power operation in the east of the country.

"As the leaders of Naftogaz previously stated, in the context of a gas conflict with Russia, the accumulation of debt for the gas consumed is unacceptable and will lead to a debtor," the company’s press release notes.
