Kerch crossing does not cope with the flow of cars in the Crimea

Automobileists traveling to the Crimea, some persons offer to circumvent the turn on the ferry crossing the Kerch Strait using fraudulent schemes, said the acting Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov.

In the queue for ferries from the Krasnodar Territory of Russia there are about 2 thousand cars. According to the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea, Elena Yurchenko, the waiting in line lasts about a day.

"There are schemes, including using a pregnant woman. She is taken to the car (to cross over the strait out of turn) - and she drives back and forth. People pay for it for 10, who are 20 thousand rubles each," Aksenov said at a meeting in the Council of Crimea Ministers on Tuesday.

The fact that the ferry through the Kerch Strait does not cope with the flow of cars in the direction of Crimea, the Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov, who visited the inspection in the port of the Caucasus, was convinced, ITAR-TASS said.

By agreement, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Defense, the transportation of military vehicles in the near future will be reoriented to the ports of Novorossiysk and Temryuk.

Earlier, the "Unified Transport Directorate" of Crimea reported that military equipment was being transported to the Crimea "in priority", and this explains huge lines at the Kerch ferry crossing.

“Every day, a military equipment that is in priority passes through the crossing. It is transported using our ferries, thereby also influencing the total duration of the usual line,” the company that is a single crossing operator said on its official Facebook page .

Information about the transfer of Russian military equipment to Crimea appeared against the backdrop of rumors that the columns of the Ukrainian military with the Grad missile systems and the OSA anti-aircraft missile systems were moving to the border with the peninsula.

The line at the crossing of the Kerch Strait in the area of ​​the Caucasus port in the Kuban per day increased by one and a half times - there were two thousand cars, in the port of Crimea - about 300 cars, the Crimean news agency reports.

From 18 hours on July 14 to 10 hours of the 15th ferries, 34 flights were made. Over the previous day, about 2500 cars and 4176 passengers for a "single ticket" were transported.
