Extension of house arrest Konstantin Yankauskas

On July 16, at 9:00 in the Presnensky district court of Moscow, a meeting will be held to extend house arrest to the municipal deputy Konstantin Yankauskas.

He and the leader of the Moscow branch of the Party of Progress Nikolai Lyaskin were charged with theft case during the campaign of Alexei Navalny in the elections of the Moscow Mayor in the summer of 2013. Together with them, the executive director of the Corruption Fund Vladimir Ashurkov is held in the case. Lyaskin is under the subscription about the wonness, Ashurkov fled abroad.

Presnensky placed Yankauskas under house arrest on June 11. On June 30, the Moscow City Court recognized this decision legitimate, rejecting the appeal of the defense of Yankauskas.

The opposition was not allowed to collect signatures to participate in the elections to the Moscow City Duma.
