Johnny Winter was born in 1944 in Texas, from childhood he was fond of music, at the age of 10, he and his brother performed on local television, at the age of 15 he released the first entry.

In 1968, Winter recorded his first album “The Progressive Blues Experiment”. In the same year, guitarist Mike Bloomfield invited him to speak with him in the New York club “Philmore East”. There, the young musician was noticed by representatives of Columbia Records , and a few days later he signed a contract worth $ 600 thousand.

In 1969, the Johnny Winter album was released on the Columbia label, on which several compositions were recorded, which later became the visiting card of Johnny Winter, including the acoustic blues of Dallas .
