Dmitrieva did not have enough signatures for registration in the elections of the governor of St. Petersburg

The State Duma deputy from "Fair Russia" Oksana Dmitrieva failed to recruit 156 signatures of municipal deputies, necessary for her to register a candidate in the early elections of the Governor of St. Petersburg. It is reported by Fontanka.ru. The directory managed to enlist the support of only 111 deputies. Thus, she leaves the election race.

Recently, Dmitrieva publicly admitted that she has exhausted the resource of municipal deputies loyal to her. In this regard, she turned to other municipalities for help, and also asked the Communist Party and Yabloko to transfer her signatures given to the deputies for candidates from these parties, that is, to remove their nominees in her favor.

The Communist Party candidate Irina Ivanova responded to the request of the reference categorical refusal, characterizing her behavior as "tactless." Meanwhile, the candidate from Yabloko Anatoly Golov withdrew from the distance, but Dmitrieva transferred only the signatures of deputies from his party. With other municipal heads, he suggested that the reference reference to agree on his own.

According to the Corruption Fund, Dmitrieva was the main competitor of the current governor George Poltavchenko. According to a survey conducted by the Fund, 39 percent of voters were ready to vote for Poltavchenko, and 16 percent for the reference.
