A video of the wedding of the American Congressman Sean Patrick Maloni and his partner Randy Fleur attracted the attention of the US Federal Civil Aviation Department (FAA). The fact is that part of the ceremony was shot on a chamber attached to the drone (unmanned aerial vehicle. - Note Newsru.com ), the use of which for commercial purposes in the United States is prohibited, the Buzzfeed portal reports.

It is worth noting that the materials of the federal department do not mention the surname of Maloni, but it is said that the services are studying reports about the use of "unmanned air apparatus in the Cold Spring, New York." It was there that the wedding ceremony of the congressman was held.

The video that appeared on YouTube captures the surroundings of the picturesque Gudzon Valley in New York, a church and a crowd of guests who throw a handful of rice in a couple. The drone also took off the fireworks in honor of Maloni and Fleer. The wedding took place on June 21.

As AP notes, a photographer from Propellerheads Aerial Photography ("Propeller -headed aerial photography"), which uses drones for its purposes, was hired for filming. At the same time, Maloni and the photographer, before the wedding, discussed the “muddy legislation regarding the use of drones”, although the representative of the congressman told the Theblaze portal that the couple was focused on the ceremony, and not on the use of drones for filming.

The company assures that they use drones as safely and in accordance with the flight rules. We add that the US laws regarding the use of drones for commercial purposes are really "muddy". For ten years, the Federal Civil Aviation Administration has been developing the rules for using drones and noted the problems that may arise because of this: for example, drones may encounter aircraft. At the same time, the Congress pushes the agency to move in this direction faster and allow the use of drones for commercial purposes.

It is worth noting that the Congressman himself Sean Patrick Malony is a member of the Transport and Infrastructure Committee, which is part of the aviation subcommittee. This subcommittee is supervised by the Federal Civil Aviation Department of the United States, which is investigating the incident.

We add that the congressman Maloni and his fiancé Flerke live together for several decades. They even have three children. Maloni was elected in 2012 as a representative from 18 New York district in Congress.
