
Irina Prokhorova asked to accept a voluntary resignation from the post of leader of the Civil Platform, the party’s press service reports . She explained her decision with disagreement with the position of most regional branches supporting the annexation of Crimea.
Prokhorov made her statement at a meeting of the governing body of the party - the Federal Civil Committee. At the same time, she noted that it remains an active member of the party and does not leave FGK.
Prokhorova became the chairman of the Grazhan Platform FGK in December, replacing his brother Mikhail Prokhorov as his brother. He himself headed the Federal Political Committee. The party was explained by the decision -making change by the decision on the annual rotation of the head of the FGK.
The acquaintance of Prokhorov, who then “Vedomosti” managed to get a comment, believes that, even having gone into the shadow, he will still lead the party and finance it, but will save himself from the need to coordinate actions with the country's political leadership.
In May, Izvestia reported that Mikhail and Irina Prokhorovs may leave the Civil Platform party . The leading posts would take their closest associates. Rifat Shaikhutdinov will come to the place of Prokhorov. According to him, the rearrangement is due to the fact that the “civilian platform” begins to prepare for the State Duma, which will be held in 2016.
“While the party is weak for them. It is necessary to do a lot to overcome the passing barrier. Whether Prokhorov leaves for good politics, we must ask him,” Shaykhutdinov commented.
The fact that Prokhorov is not going to leave the "civilian platform", but will leave the post of head of the FPK, said the head of the Moscow branch Mikhail Vyshegodtsev. He also called absolutely incorrect information about the departure from the party Irina Prokhorova.
The Civil Platform party was formed in June 2012.
