The first aircraft with the remains of the dead passengers of the Malaysian Boeing arrived in Eindhoven
In the Netherlands, the identification of the bodies of the dead passengers of the Malaysia Airlines, shot down near Donetsk, began. Meanwhile, the International Investigation Group to investigate the circumstances of the liner crash, also led by the Netherlands, cannot yet begin work at the place of tragedy for security reasons. On Thursday, the remains of another 74 passengers of the MH17 flight will be delivered to Aidkhoven, as expected, will be delivered.
On Wednesday, the first two aircraft with the bodies of the victims of the airline near Donetsk arrived at the Military airfield of the Dutch city of Eindhoven. The first at 15:47 local time, the Dutch plane landed, two minutes later, after it was an Australian aircraft plane, on board the first there were 16 coffins, 24 aboard the second.
Upon arrival of airplanes, a mourning ceremony in memory of the dead passengers of the MH17 flight was held right on the airfield. A minute of silence began to the sound of the pipe. Not only on the territory of the airfield, but throughout the country at that moment everyone left their affairs and honored the memory of the dead. Transport froze on the streets, trains stood on railways. Photos from children's pools, from stadiums, city squares appeared on the network - everyone stopped for a minute and stood nearby silently.
When the minute of silence ended, at the Eyndhkin airfield, the first persons of the Netherlands, government members and high -ranking guests from countries whose citizens were on board the Boeing Malaysia Airlines are located in chairs on the take -off strip. Relatives of the dead were in a nearby hangar - inaccessible to the cameras of journalists. A special fence was built so that those who are now the hardest, no one saw while they were going into the Angara building.

With a special march and in advance rehearsed, synchronous movements, they brought the coffins to the funeral cars standing right on the runway, after which the first 20 cars (which, in anticipation of the end of the ceremony, disappeared into the Angara, where the relatives of the dead) replaced the new 20, and the royal gendarmerie repeated its ceremonial move again. All this time, only a howl of winds and a metal knock of the ropes on flagpole were heard - before the airfield building, the lowered flags of all countries that the tragedy, including the Ukrainian flag, touched the airfield.
As soon as each of the 40 vehicles with the body of an unknown passenger (the body has yet to be identified) was ready to leave the airport, the applause of relatives was heard from the Angara building as a sign of gratitude to the gendarmerie and everyone who helped in the difficult matter of returning the bodies of the dead to his homeland to Holland. In the coming days, new planes will arrive in the Netherlands until all the bodies found at the place of crashes near Donetsk are transported.
At Last Some Dignity to Some of Those So Brutally Killed with MH17. pic.twitter.com/rl8gdm9t8y
- Carl Bildt (@carlbildt) July 23, 2014The mourning motorcade, accompanied by motorcyclists of the royal gendarmerie, went to the city of Hilversum, where the bodies will be stored in the military barracks and where the forensic experts will be recognized by the dead.
Hundreds of people expected aircraft arrival with a terrible cargo from Kharkov in front of the Eyndhkin airfield. Thousands and thousands of people stood along the highway along which the motorcade drove, and on the viaducts over the highway. The most important highways leading to the Hilversum were blocked for all other motorists to give the possibility of a mourning motorcade without obstacles and with dignity to drive this segment of the path. People applauded and threw flowers from viaducts to the road. In the coming days, we will see several more of these motorcies.
On Wednesday evening, mourning processions in white clothes took place in Amsterdam and other Dutch cities, and a worship was held in the Cathedral of Amersfort in memory of the passengers of the MH17 flight. The burgomaster of the small city of Hilversum Peter Brurchies says that he has been very moved to how many people went out into the streets to meet a mourning motorcade.
- At the ceremony, I accompanied the father of the deceased young man from Hilversum, Quinna Skhansman. (19-year-old Quinn was the only American on board the Malaysian Boeing, he had double citizenship.- RS ) if I may say so, the boy returned home. Today I saw how important this is for my father, so that the identification procedure was carried out as soon as possible. He now needs to get something tangible, which remains of his son. In general, all this ceremony, the mass of mourning processions-perhaps at first it can push someone away. But I saw that the father of Quinn and his adoptive mother felt some bitter joy today from what were there, at the airfield, when the planes landed. Still, it is perceived differently when you see everything with your own eyes. Until now, all this was so far away in Ukraine, and now suddenly here, forty cars with coffins pass right in front of you ... In total, 13 people died from the Hilversum, 7 of them are very young. All of them were in some sports clubs, every resident of the city knew at least one of the dead.
Peter Brurchiyes became known in Russia after two days ago in an interview with the local radio station he proposed to expel the daughter of Vladimir Putin Mary from Holland, who, according to local media , lives in the town of Vorshoten near Leiden with his Dutch spouse, in the area, which is called the Irony of Fate, is called Crimea. Soon, on his page on Twitter, Brurchi took his words back, explaining that an awkward remark escaped from him because of the "sense of helplessness."
Opmerking Over Dochter Poetin Op Radio 1 Was Niet Verstandig. Deze Kwam Voort Uit Een Gevoel Van Onmacht Dat Vele Mensen Zullen Herkenenen.
- Pieter Broertjes (@pieterbroertjes) July 23, 2014From the comments to his post, we can conclude that the Dutch call him to deport the 29-year-old daughter of Vladimir Putin. This whole story in Holland did not attract great public attention. The Police in Vorshoten reports that it controls the situation around her house due to the fact that the calls of Ukrainian users appeared on the network under the windows of the daughter of the Russian president of the rally. On Wednesday, no protest at this address was reported, and the local administration said that they have no reason to believe that Maria was there at that time. During the broadcast of the mourning motorcade live the first channel of the Channel One of the Dutch television, to the presenter question about the recent statement about Putin's daughter, the burgomaster Brurchyes said:
- Yes, I did not mean what really needs to be done. Fortunately, this is not about that. And, of course, it was unreasonable to say that. This escaped in the context of the question of weak sanctions-is it possible to come up with something harder. In fact, it seems to me completely unreasonable to seriously resort to such measures, because the matter is completely different. This was due to the fact that I encountered such anger relatives of the dead citizens who suddenly ended up at the epicenter of war, completely in addition to their will. They thought that their relatives were flying on vacation, and overnight they lost their children, there are people who lost three grandchildren. All of them are not just grief, they experience terrible anger. And I have absorbed all this in the last days, so I had such a remark. We are all people, and the woe around us is huge.
Behind each family who lost loved ones, we fixed one employee of the city hall to help them with all practical questions. Because their despair has no limit. Entire houses remained empty, entire families never return to them. There were grandparents who do not know what to do now, they feel too old to do all this. Mourning motorcies will continue to arrive in our city for at least four more days in a row. Then, perhaps, one of the relatives will want to visit the morgue at the barracks. We still don’t know how everything will develop further, all this is still very new for us, ”said Peter Brurchi.
Hilversum will stay in the center of human grief for a long time. On Thursday, the mourning ceremony will repeat (though without the participation of the king and the prime minister of the Netherlands) and the mourning motorcade will bring here the remains of another 74 passengers of the MH17 flight. And so every day, until all the bodies found at the crash site arrive here. Meanwhile, already on Wednesday evening, the procedure for identifying the dead has begun. For the identification of some passengers, months can take, but most experts hope to identify in a few days.
The Netherlands took on not only the task of identifying all passengers of Boeing shot down near Donetsk. The Safety Council of the Netherlands officially headed the International Investigative Group to investigate the circumstances of the crash. The Dutch side is responsible for the coordination of all investigative groups from different countries, as well as the ICAO International Civil Aviation Organization. So far, investigators cannot start work directly at the crash site, although some of them are already in Ukraine. Investigators must freely move throughout the territory in which the bing's fragments were discovered, but their safety is still not guaranteed. To solve the problem of the security of investigators, the Netherlands propose to introduce the patrol of the International Police Mission at the crash site. Such a police patrol will definitely not be a unilateral initiative of the Netherlands, the general director of the Clingendael Institute to Koline said on the air of the Netherlands Television.
- Just sending Dutch detachments there would be wrong, and that would not be. This should be a mission with a mandate of some international organization-the UN Security Council or OSCE. The incident lies in the fact that in order to get such a mandate, it will take a signature of Russia, that is, we need to somehow enlist the support of the Russian side. If negotiations are negotiating directly with the forces that today patrol this territory - with separatists, we will have to conduct business with persons whose powers we do not officially recognize. That is, and so, and so it turns out a muddy business. However, we already worked in Afghanistan, where the safety of our battalions depended on foggy agreements with local military leaders, says Koline.
The fact that the removal of the remains of the dead passes without excesses and further delays instilles the hope that a certain agreement will be reached on the issue of investigators at the crash site, a military expert believes. Cupuluar negotiations are underway, the fact that everyone, without exception, quickly wants to turn this terrible page, hopes, hopes Koline very much.
