From the post for a reason

Arseniy Yatsenyuk resigned from the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine, League reports . "I declare the resignation in connection with the collapse of the coalition and the blocking of government initiatives," he said at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

In this situation, the prime minister has two options, Yatsenyuk noted. The first is to start consultations on the formation of a new coalition. "This means that the prime minister should take the communists and regionals to the coalition. I will not do this under any circumstances," Yatsenyuk said. The second option is to announce the resignation of the Prime Minister and the Government.

The chairman of the Rada, Alexander Turchinov, asked the party to hit and "Freedom" to make the candidacy of the technical prime minister. He will lead the Cabinet to the elections and the formation of a new coalition.

Later, at a meeting of the Government, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Public Utilities Vladimir Groysman was appointed temporarily acting Prime Minister of Ukraine. This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov.

Earlier on Thursday, the leaders of the strike factions Vitaly Kovalchuk and "Freedom" Oleg Tyagnibok announced the withdrawal of their parties from the ruling coalition in the Verkhovna Rada. They explained that the absence of the ruling majority will give President Petro Poroshenko the reason to dissolve the Rada and declare early parliamentary elections.

“In the current situation, such a parliament that covers state criminals, Moscow agents; a parliament that does not exempt from the deputy inviolability of all those people who work for the Kremlin, it should not exist,” said Tyagnibok. He added that early parliamentary elections should be held, "when peace is established in Ukraine."

The leader of the Fatherland faction, Sergei Sobolev, also advocated the early elections of the Rada. At the same time, he remarked, "the only opportunity to hold the election is the adoption of the law on the election on a proportional basis for open lists and immediately restoring order and the completion of the liberation of the territory of Ukraine from Russian invaders and terrorists." Later, 15 non -fractional deputies were also announced about leaving the coalition.

The Coalition "European Choice" was formed on February 27 , a few days after the victory of the revolution. The coalition included 250 parliamentarians from the "Fatherland", strike, "freedom", groups "Sovereign European Ukraine" and "For Economic Development", as well as non -fire deputies.

According to the Constitution of Ukraine, at least 226 deputies should include the ruling coalition. If the coalition breaks up, a new parliamentary majority should be formed within 30 days after that. Otherwise, the president has the right to appoint early elections to the Rada.
