The Voronezh Regional Court rejected the arrest of the Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, captured by the LPR terrorists and illegally transported to Russia. It is reported by "My! Online."
The meeting was held in open mode, the lawyer of the political prisoner Mark Feigin wrote . Nevertheless, Savchenko herself was not taken to the court, despite her application. The prisoner participated in the hearings on the video from the SIZO-3 in Voronezh.
Savchenko sewn up filed a motion to divert the translator who distorted the replica of the arrested. “Nadezhda says that she was stolen from Ukraine,” Polozov explained . “The translator translates as“ caught in Ukraine. ”Nevertheless, this petition was refused.
Feigin in his speech indicated that the investigation did not provide information about the voluntary intersection of Savchenko of the Russian border. This, he noted, gives reason to conclude that in reality the pilot was abducted. In addition, the lawyer announced the absence of sufficient evidence of the guilt of the pilot. Feigin further mentioned that the authorities prevented the meeting of the Ukrainian consul with the arrested, which violated her right to defense. Finally, the lawyer, the Novousmansky district court of the Voronezh region, who arrested Savchenko, recalled her right to familiarize himself with the case file in his native language.
Polozov, in turn, also drew the attention of the court to the fact of abduction of the pilot. In addition, he noted the contradictions in the materials of the criminal case against her.
The defense petitioned for the release of Savchenko on security of 500 thousand rubles. A guarantee of the Embassy of Ukraine in Moscow was attached to the application.
The prosecutors, however, said the protest, noting that the preventive measure in the form of a pledge would not suit them, even if the proposed amount is higher. It is dangerous to release Savchenko, representatives of the supervisory authority added, since in Russia she has nowhere to stop and she can hide in Ukraine. “The Sur is the representatives of the prosecutor’s office that the question of the abduction of Savchenko is closed,” Feigin wrote .
The political prisoner herself noticed that she would like to return to her homeland. At the same time, she promised to appear on interrogations and cooperate with the investigation. She completed her performance with a remark: "I would like the investigation and the courts in Russia to be more fair."
As a result, the court rejected the appeal. Feigin said he intends to appeal this decision in the ECHR.
After the announcement of the decision, two Ukrainian journalists who were present in the hall launched the flag of their country. Seeing this, Savchenko applauded and said: "Glory to Ukraine!"
Later, Polozov published on his twitter a decision on the extension of the investigation in the Savchenko case until October 30.
On July 9, the Novousmansky district court arrested Savchenko until August 30. Part 5 of Article 33, paragraphs “A”, “B”, “E”, “F” and “L” of part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (awarding in the murder in the generally hazardous method of two or more persons in connection with the implementation of their official activities based on political hatred committed by a group of persons) were charged.
