The site "VKontakte" is not available

The CIT of the largest Russian social network VKontakte was not available for users on Sunday evening. For many users, the site does not open at all, for others - posts from some communities have disappeared.

Social network spokeswoman Georgy Lobushkin announced technical difficulties, the site is hoped to restore in the near future.

We experience problems with some section of the site. Cuts in a hurry. Soon everything will be restored.

Lobsushkin asked users for forgiveness "for the inconvenience", announcing that the shutdown of VKontakte is worse than disconnecting hot water.

Later Lobsushkin explained the reason for the problems: due to the heat in St. Petersburg, one of the company's data centers failed.

As the rain reports, some users are opening, but posts from some communities and likes have disappeared, as well as difficulties with sending messages.

Lobsushkin promises that everyone will return in their former form.

All photos, entries and messages of VKontakte, which are now not available for unexplained reasons, will return soon. We are working on this.
