Experts: There is no “propaganda of homosexuality” in the “pillow soul”

Specialists in the field of psychology and education did not find in the play by Olzhas Zhanidarov “The Soul of the Pillows” of the signs of “propaganda of homosexuality” and “contradictions adopted in Russian culture by traditional moral values”.

The sketch of the play “Lusha Pillows” performed by the Puppet Theater “Fried Bird” was a member of the COLTA.RU program at the Moscow International Open Book Festival (MMOMF), but the performance was canceled at the request of the Ministry of Culture.

The letter of the ministry, which was received by the organizers of MMOMF, said that “in the play“ The soul of the pillow ”can be seen signs of propaganda of homosexuality among minors” and, in addition, its content “contradicts traditional moral values ​​accepted in Russian culture”.

Public figures, writers, playwrights, parents expressed an interest in clarifying the situation regarding the play “The Soul of the Pillows” and obtaining a qualified assessment of the validity of the claims of the Ministry of Culture.

An expert group was formed, which included specialists from the Institute of Education of the Higher School of Economics, the Psychological Institute of the Russian Academy of Education, the Federal Institute for the Development of Education, the Moscow City Psychological and Pedagogical University and the Moscow City Pedagogical University.

Experts came to the following conclusions:

1. In the play of Olzhas Zhanaydarov, “The Soul of Pillows” did not reveal signs of propaganda of homosexuality among minors.
2. The content of the play cannot be recognized as contradicting the traditional moral standards of Russian culture.
3. The play does not contain information that could fall under the federal Law of the Russian Federation of December 29, 2010 N 436-ФЗ “On the Protection of Children from Information Available their Health and Development”.
