"Neva" closes the office in Moscow, the reception of citizens with claims will be carried out only in St. Petersburg

The Neva travel agency, which suddenly left the market on July 16, closes the Moscow office. Reception of citizens will be carried out in the head office in St. Petersburg, ITAR-TASS reports.

Since the beginning of August, "All the activities of the Moscow branch located at: Taganskaya St., 7, transferred to the company's head office in St. Petersburg, St. 1st Sovetskaya, 8," the press service of the tour operator said the day before.

At the same time, the management of the travel agency does not plan to start the bankruptcy procedure yet. Earlier, the Director General of the Neva, Maxim Pirogov, said that shareholders may decide on the resumption of activities. He also added that the company did not take any purposeful preparatory actions to suspend activities.

Currently, 620 tourists remain abroad who left Russia through the Neva travel agency, they have no problems with hotels and a flight. This, according to RIA Novosti , told reporters on Tuesday by Acting Head of Rosturism Oleg Safonov. On July 16, there were 7,160 tourists from Neva abroad.

The official emphasized that with the joint "effective actions of Rosturism and the industry Association" Tour Hands "all the problems that were, they are successfully resolved."

ITAR-TASS, citing the director of Tour Hands of Vyacheslav Basov, clarifies that citizens who arrived on the eve of the Russian Federation returned to their homeland to the planned dates.

According to Basov, from the total number of "standards of" tourists "of the Neva, 2 thousand people were left without a paid ticket for flight home.

Recall that the Neva travel agency, one of the oldest Russian tour operators, on July 16 announced the suspension of activities in connection with an unfavorable financial situation. In total, approximately 17-18 thousand of his customers suffered. Many of them bought vouchers in advance - the depth of sales of the company that had gone from the market reached October. Neva was insured in a little -known ascent insurance company by 454 million rubles (the previous insurance in the large insurance company "SOGAZ" ended two weeks ago).

As the RBC agency recalls, the collapse of the "Neva" can become the largest in the Russian tourist market, surpassing previous noticeable episodes - bankruptcy "Capital of the Tour" and "Lanta Tour Voyage".
