TRV- science continues to publish materials about the project "Last address". Our next story is about the 29- year-old Joseph Alperne , who lived before the arrest in Moscow.
A letter from Tatyana Dykina came to the e -mail of the project “The Last Address”: “I am very glad to your project, supported it with a small amount and I want to first leave applications for the closest relatives.”
Of the three names sent by Tatyana, in the databases of the Memorial Society, which are taken as the basis of the “Last Address” project, there is only one information. This is Joseph Izrailevich Alpern, cousin Tatyana. Data about him is so stingy that until recently, even the address at which he lived in Moscow was not known. Only years of life: born in 1908 in the Kharkov region, shot on September 26, 1937 on charges of counter -revolutionary Trotskyist activities.
In 1956, he was posthumously rehabilitated by the military collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR with dry formulation "for the lack of corpus delicti." Joseph lived only 29 years. But thanks to Tatyana, who provided us with her copies of documents from the Alperna case, we were able to establish the last address of Joseph: before the arrest he lived in Moscow, on New Basmann Street, in house number 4.
"IN house was some huge ( 17 families ) communal quarter from hostels for students , a Initially - From the almshouse V mansion prince Kuraki on, ” Tatyana writes. After the revolution, the Kuraki military almshouse was closed, and until 1980 there were communal apartments. In 1935, the St. Nicholas Church was destroyed under an almshouse, which was never restored, although the entire ensemble was restored. Now it houses the Moscow House of Nationalities.
It was in this house, in apartment No. 8, January 15, 1936, the NKVD employees searched Alperne, and then arrested Joseph. During the search, he seized two books by Leo Trotsky - “Literature and Revolution”, excerpts from newspapers in Jewish, the certificate of the Moscow Energy Institute, which, in all likelihood, was completed by Joseph, three pure forms with a stamp of Metrostroy (possibly Joseph worked here), personal letters, notebooks.
"Dedushkin younger Brother Yosya , both And curious The young man taught mine Five -year -old Mom play In chess And even I took it With yourself on Tournaments . In 1936 By indication A neighbor is a scammer Yosu They took it more No one Not saw . In 1966 The answer came on Request , c which was It is said that case V his attitude It was revised in 1956 And for lack of composition crimes Stop , ” Tatyana writes on her website dedicated to the history of the family.
