Bentley may release a coupe based on the Audi R8 supercar

Bentley is working on a new, fifth car in its current lineup, and it will be an entry-level sports coupe. The relevant information was provided by the CEO of the British luxury car manufacturer Wolfgang Dürheimer.

The British will assemble a sports coupe based on the German Audi R8 supercar, which is in high demand for its class in many countries around the world. Experts believe that, using this car as a basis, Bentley will remember its Hunaudieres concept, demonstrated at the international motor show in Geneva back in March 1999, writesCarscope .

Regarding the engine, different sources have different information. According to some rumors, Bentley will abandon the V10 and install an even more powerful and power-hungry W12; according to others, the successor to the Hunaudieres concept will receive a V8 with a twin turbine or even a turbocharged V6 along with a powerful electric motor.

It should be clarified that the new two-seater coupe has not yet been given the green light. According to Durheimer, Bentley management is in the process of discussing this issue, but is leaning towards a positive solution.
