The budget carrier in the Aeroflot company Dobrolet is suspended from Monday, Vedomosti reports with reference to the airline’s press service. They explained that the decision was made in connection with the application of economic sanctions imposed by the European Union in relation to the carrier.
Several European counterparties informed the companies to refuse to fulfill their obligations. In particular, the effect of leasing, maintenance and insurance of aircraft, as well as the provision of air navigation information, is canceled.
"In conditions of unprecedented pressure provided to the Dobrolet company from European counterparties, the carrier is forced to suspend flights and the sale of tickets," the press service said.
Some passengers who have already bought tickets will be transported by the Orenburg Airlines airline to dates and time indicated in tickets. The rest of the passengers will have to arrange a forced return return. The company emphasizes that the money will be returned to passengers in full.
Dobralet got into the EU sanctions list last week due to flights to the occupied Crimea. “Since the illegal annexation of Crimea, Dobrolet has been performed by Moscow -Simferopol flights, thus ensuring the integration of Crimea into Russia and undermining the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” the EU document explained.
