The only Russian low-cost airline, Dobrolet Airlines, ceased its work due to the sanctions of the European Union. Thus, Kommersant notes, statements by Russian officials that Western sanctions will only be “empty cotton” for domestic business.
On the evening of August 3, the status of all flights of Aeroflot's subsidiary “Goodlet” at once on the Sheremetyevo airport has changed at once - they were canceled.
At 20:00, the company officially reported that due to EU sanctions, which were introduced against Dobroleta on July 30, the carrier was forced to suspend flights and the sale of tickets. The fact is that European counterparties canceled the effect of leasing agreements on aircraft, maintenance and insurance of aircraft, as well as the provision of aeronautical information. The European Union explained the sanctions against the "goodole" by the fact that Lawkoster facilitated the integration of Crimea into Russia, flying from Moscow to Simferopol.

The date, time and terminal of flight departure will not change. Flights along the other routes of "Dobralet" will be canceled. Passengers who bought tickets can completely return their money. For them, a hot line will be opened-+7 (499) 215-23-00.
Until September 15, on the Moscow -Simferopol route, 172 U -turn flights were planned, for which 61.6 thousand people bought tickets, 17 flights were planned to Volgograd until August 20, for which more than 4.5 thousand tickets were sold.
According to the sources of the newspaper in the aircraft market, the main problem was the refusal of the Irish SMBC Aviation Capital to fulfill the leasing agreement on the Boeing 737-800ng. They were supposed to become the basis of Loucoster Park - until the end of this year, Dobrolet planned to receive eight aircraft (eight more in 2015), and two were already delivered. In total, there were three planes in Loucoster Park. In addition to the two “Boeing”, there was one SSJ-100 at the disposal of “Dobrleta”, which has not yet been executed.
In addition, in connection with the sanctions, the German Lufthansa Technik refused to maintain the maintenance of the Goodlet aircraft. We are talking about both the light maintenance of ships, which must be done if necessary, and about the difficult, which the aircraft pass once every six years. At the same time, Lufthansa Technik expressed the hope that positive political changes will lead to the lifting of sanctions, and the company will continue to provide its services to the Russian low -cost airline.
In addition, the sanctions deprived the “good) opportunity to fully insure their risks. This was announced on August 1 to the alfastrakhovanie Loukoster. Due to the sanctions, the reinsurance broker notified the Russian insurer that all the reinsurance contracts regarding the risks of “Goodlet” are losing strength.
According to the market participants, soon there could be problems with the booking of Dobralet tickets. The airline works through the American Navitaire system, which is mainly used by low -cost airlines. “The totality of all these factors made the continuation of the work of the“ Goodlet ”almost impossible,” the sources of the newspaper are sure.
The creation of the “National Lawkoster”, which became “Dobralet”, was discussed for several years at the level of the president and government and has always been positioned as a draft public importance. The decision on the launch of the Aeroflot project was made in August 2013, and the company received the operator’s certificate on May 19, 2014.
Dobralet began selling tickets on the night of May 27, 2014. The first was the Moscow -Simferopol flight, and only in the first 12 hours more than 4 thousand tickets to Crimea were sold at a price of 979.5 to 3.5 thousand rubles one way. The airline completed the first flight on June 10. Before sending, the plane was visited by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who stated that the prices for tickets "for our country are just beautiful."
Vitaly SavelyevThe dinners on board the “Dobralet” were paid, but, as the general director of Aeroflot Vitaly Savelyev noted, “you will pay - there will be everything.” In this, according to him, it makes sense of Lawkoster.
On August 1, the airline began to fly to Volgograd, and in other directions (in Samara, Perm, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Surgut and Kazan) flights have not yet started. In 2018, Dobrolet planned to transport 10 million people in 45 areas in Russia and the world, and the carrier’s operating profit was supposed to amount to $ 150 million. Investments in the creation of a low -cost airline were estimated at $ 100 million.
Note that scandals and various kinds of difficulties accompany the first Russian low -cost airline almost from the moment of its founding.
At the very beginning of his activity, Dobrolet also planned to fly to St. Petersburg, but Lawkoster could not agree with the Pulkovo airport on the preferential value of service. As reported , Pulkovo offered more than 800 rubles for the passenger, which made it meaning to the entire economy of the project. Now Dobralet is served in Moscow in the old terminal B Sheremetyevo, where, according to the general director of Sheremetyevo, Mikhail Vasilevko, “the lowest and most profitable bets”.
Andrey KalmykovIn addition, at the end of May, the media reported that the new head of the Goodlet Loucoster was appointed Aeroflot, temporarily suspended from office, Andrei Kalmykov, who is under investigation in the criminal case of abuse of authority.
According to investigators, Kalmykov, as a top manager of Aeroflot, provided preferences to travel agencies of Sanraise Tour Group and Sanraise Tour, the founders of which were his wife and mother.
Kalmykov began work on June 3 and replaced Vladimir Gorbunov as head of Dobralet, who continued to work in the company as the first deputy general director. According to sources, Aeroflot general director Vitaly Savelyev remained unhappy that Gorbunov was “too soft and the conformist”, so he preferred him a “manager with character”.
Sources of Kommersant believe that Dobralet was chosen as an object for sanctions very thoughtfully. According to them, the airline has just begun to work, it flies only within Russia, and therefore the stop of its activities will not cause an international scandal. Sources do not exclude the element of lobbying from European low -cost airlines, because Dobrolet planned to start flying to Europe (in Riga) since 2016.
Screenshot: Dobrolet.comAccording to the independent aviation expert Andrei Kramarenko, the Dobralet stop will not bring serious losses to Aeroflot, but this is a good signal that Russian economy is extremely difficult to do without partners from Europe. According to the expert, after three months (during this period, the EU sanctions are subject to compulsory revision), the decision on sanctions regarding the “goodole” can be revised, however, while maintaining sanctions, the project will simply be closed.
According to Interfax , the Boeing-737 aircraft, most likely, can be transferred to Aeroflot Park.
Sources of Vedomosti agree that sanctions against Dobralet are a strong blow and a very bad signal for all civil aviation. As noted by the editor -in -chief of the Air Transport, Alexei Sinitsky, every airline that flies to the Crimea may be on the site of a low -cost airline. Among them are Aeroflot, company S7 Ural Airlines, as well as Red Wings.
