Apartments have run out: the Ministry of Defense begins paying housing subsidies
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has issued a departmental order defining the procedure for providing the military with cash payments to resolve the housing issue.
The text of the document registered with the Ministry of Justice was published in Rossiyskaya Gazeta .
Now, as the publication notes, in order to move into the coveted apartment, a military man does not have to stand in line for years - he needs to get the money and decide for himself what type of real estate to spend it on.
As follows from the text of the document, in order to receive a housing subsidy, a Russian military man only needs to enter into an agreement with the bank to open a bank account and, together with all family members, write an application for the transfer of a housing subsidy, in which he indicates the bank account details, and submit these two documents to the housing structures Ministry of Defense.
After receiving these documents, the housing authority sends a request to Rosreestr about the availability of residential premises on the territory of Russia for the serviceman and his family members. The decision of the housing authority to provide housing subsidies is sent to the relevant financial authority. A copy of the decision is also transmitted to the serviceman and to the personnel authorities of the Armed Forces.
As the director of the housing support department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Pirogov, explained to the newspaper, the entire process of providing a housing subsidy will take no more than a month - from the moment the serviceman submits to the housing authority an agreement on opening a bank account and an application for receiving a housing subsidy, until the funds are transferred to his bank account.
To calculate the amount of the payment, you need to multiply the number of square meters allocated to the military man and his family members by the standard cost per square meter of housing in the Russian Federation. The resulting amount should be multiplied again by an adjustment factor that corresponds to the serviceman’s length of service. Thus, the longer a military man has served and the more children he has, the more money he will receive to purchase housing. For example, an officer with a family of six who has served in the army for more than 20 years can count on almost 11 million rubles.
