Declared Long List "Book"

Today, August 6, a “long list” of the national competition for the best work for children and adolescents “Booker” has been announced.
It included 26 texts selected by the Council of Experts of the Competition of 754 works:

- Igor Zhukov (Moscow) - “Wizard and Son”;
- Dmitry Kazakov (Nizhny Novgorod) - “Moscow Minh”;
- Alexander Kiselev (Kaluga) - “Canary and Bullfinch”;
- Mikhail Kolodochkin (Moscow) - “Forward, Russia!”;
- Alexander Komkov (Ryazan) - “Archival History”;
- Tatyana Krivetsskaya (Bryansk region, Dubrovka village) - “Svitburg and its inhabitants”;

- Inna Manakhova (Orenburg) - "First Step";

- Valery Ronshin (Petersburg) - “About the Vovka of Korokovin”;
- Elena Sokovenina (Riga, Latvia) - “large bone, or my struggle”;
- Igor Solopov (Moscow) - "Brownie";
- Victor Shapkin (Nizhny Novgorod) - “I am“ yak ”, fighter ...”;
- Marina Yasinskaya (Edmonton, Canada) - "red, blue and dead."
The “Long List” presents works by writers from 12 regions of Russia. In addition to the inhabitants of Moscow and St. Petersburg, two authors from Nizhny Novgorod, as well as from Rostov-on-Don, Kaluga, Ryazan, Cheboksar, Chelyabinsk, Ivanov, Tver, Orenburg, Togliatti and the villages of the Bryansk district of the Bryansk region, sent their work. In addition, the list has works of writers from Latvia and Canada.
Now experts will have to choose no more than fifteen works for the “short list”. The texts included in it will be posted in the public domain on the competition website .
The winners to the “Book” will be determined by the open jury, consisting of readers aged 10-16 years. Any teenager who registered on the website of the competition and confirmed his compliance with the established rules can enter the jury. The registration and work of the jury will begin immediately after the announcement of the “short list” - no later than September 5.
