The sports arbitration court in Lausanne (CAS) will issue a verdict in the case of disqualification of the Uruguayan striker Barcelona Luis Suarez for unsportsmanlike behavior. This was reported by the press service of the court.
Earlier, the sports Spanish publication La Vanguardia reported that Suarez has very good chances that CAS can reduce its disqualification period - from four months to two.
The reason for such a strict punishment for the striker of Barcelona was the incident that occurred during the match of his national team with Italy at the world championship in Brazil. Then, Suarez in the game struggle bit his opponent’s defender Georgio Kellini.
A few days after the incident, FIFA excommunicated the football player from participating in games of any level for four months for this misconduct.
This disqualification, however, did not prevent the Uruguayan from moving from the English Liverpool to Barcelona for 88 million euros.
