The Lithuanian company Pieno Zvaigzdes, presented in Russia by the Swala brand can suffer 15% of the turnover and will be forced to look for other sales markets in connection with the response measures of Russia for the EU and the United States. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the general director of the company Alexander Smagin.
Under the Swala brand, the company produces cheese, granular cottage cheese, butter, yogurt and sour cream. The Russian Federation accounted for 35% of Pieno Zvaigzdes trade - so, last year, products were imported to Russia in the amount of almost $ 100 million.
According to Smaggin, a team of 2000 people work on the Swala brand, so the company is forced to look for other sales markets. He said that the Lithuanian government has already announced their readiness to help entrepreneurs find new sales markets.
Smagin leaves no hope of the return of Pieno Zvaigzdes to the Russian market, but assumes that in the future it will be more difficult to withstand, since during the ban on imports from the EU, Russian manufacturers can strengthen their positions.
Recall that Russia limited the import of a number of goods from the USA, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway in response to sanctions against a number of Russian companies and officials for a year. The list approved by the Government of the Russian Federation included beef, pork, bird, fruits, dairy products, nuts and other products.
