Saratova’s court issued an acquittal to local entrepreneur Marina Shulyak, who was accused of fraud two years ago, was put in a pre-trial detention center and threatened to rot in prison if she did not admit his guilt in a transaction, the dispute on which for some reason was decided not at the level of civil law relations, but received the color of the criminal case.

The judge, reading the verdict, noted that the prosecution did not provide evidence not only to the fault of the defendant, but also to the interest of anyone to make fraud at all.

“The verdict is very motivated, with an analysis of almost all evidence, both those that were submitted by the prosecution and submitted by the defense. I am very fully scheduled. I am very pleased with the sentence,” Elena Sergun told Saratov ’s “fourth power” , noting that, from a professional point of view, there could not be any, except justifying, the sentence could not be. - "All evidence of both parties were studied. I am not sure that the prosecutor’s office will even appeal him - it seems, to appeal and nothing to appeal."

Recall, Marina Shulyak was accused under Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud). The stage of the preliminary investigation lasted more than two years. The investigation of the case caused a broad public outcry.

Shulyak was accused of the fact that in 2005, being the general director of the company, she allegedly deprived the businessman Igor Bogdanov of six shares of Arkada-S CJSC, entering into conspiracy with unidentified persons. As the lawyer explained, Bogdanov received an expensive building from the company Shulyak, transferring in return a stake in the nominal value of the building and receiving a large amount of money for this. But in 2012, the businessman suddenly stated that he was not withdrawn from his account, but he was fed as a signature.

However, the court did not agree with this statement. The expert who spoke in court proved that Bogdanov himself signed the signatures under the documents. “We had an expert from the Main Expert Center of the Ministry of Defense. They have completely unique developments on handwriting examinations. And all the charge was built on the fact that Bogdanov’s signature was filed on photocopies, and the original documents did not exist. He gave the conclusion that all signatures were authentic,” said lawyer Sergun. “No matter how strange it may sound from a lawyer, you begin to believe in justice,” she said.
