Evgeny Chichvarkin: "Putin finances the war"

- No, I do not feel. So far there were no such sanctions that would be tangible on both sides, in my opinion. All the sanctions that are currently applied are still more similar to warnings. With regard to the wine industry, nothing has changed - as the wine was supplied to Russia and it is supplied. The bans of wine did not affect. If strong drinks were banned, wine and tobacco to import into Russia from abroad, then, I think, the Putin regime would not exist for a long time. I think that some companies in Poland will suffer, which are focused on Russia; There are companies in the Baltic states and in Greece that will feel sanctions. Russian sanctions in this area will not affect Britain.

- What, in your opinion, what is the attitude to Russia and Putin in the business circles of Britain? Has it changed lately?

-The attitude towards Putin was negative-beed, now it was negative.

- Are Russian wealthy Russians and their families actively withdraw their capital from Russia now?

- How do you see the result of Russian prohibitions? Will they lead to hungry times in Russia itself?

- No, hungry times cannot come. Dear times may come. These sanctions will affect a serious inflation jump. There will be no product A - will be B. product will simply be worse and more expensive.

- How would you comment on the current situation in Ukraine and the role of Russia in this conflict?

-The war in the southeast of Ukraine is authorized and provoked by Putin and his environment. She is funded by Putin and his environment. This is a protracted provocation that has passed into the war. I have no doubt that (possibly by mistake, or perhaps not by mistake), terrorists who captured the Lugansk and Donetsk regions shot down the Malaysian plane. I also have no doubt that Russian regular units are shelling Ukraine from the territory of Russia. I have no doubt that all this is guided by specialists from GRU and the FSB.

- How, it seems to you, could this conflict be resolved?

- It can be allowed two days later, if tomorrow NATO enters there troops and is located along the border of Ukraine and Russia. Because Putin will not fight with NATO, he knows that the Russian army is much weaker.

- You, as a businessman, are probably interested in the verdict of the Hague of the arbitration court, who obliged Russia to pay 50 billion dollars to shareholders of Yukos. Do you think Russia will pay this money? How serious is this amount for the Russian economy?

- 50 billion dollars is a serious amount. With this money it would be possible to bury the beautiful Olympics. I think that Russia will not pay this money. After some time, tired of the evasions and dodging the Russian side, the Hague Tribunal will begin to arrest Russia's assets abroad. But I think that this is still far away - for many months, maybe not even one year.

- What do you seem to the further development of events in Russia? Where is the country going?

- The country is in the direction of its North Korean partner. And as a result of this - closeness, aggressiveness, lawlessness, poverty. There will be no radical changes. For example, if prices rise in price by food by 3-5%, this will lead to a serious inflationary jump, which will definitely affect Putin's ranking. Very often they ask the question: if not Putin, then who? This is Putin's favorite question and his PR crime. But, for example, every second or every third person who is part of the first hundred of the Russian Forbes list will cope with this task no worse than Putin, and, most likely, even better. It was necessary to try very hard to achieve such monstrous corruption in order to create such a destructive environment in the country where the oppressive state of hopelessness reigns, ”said Russian businessman Yevgeny Chichvarkin .
