“According to our data, a criminal organization created and led by a native of Georgia Aslan Gagiev began its activities in 2007 and totaled more than 30 participants, ” said the official representative of the Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin.

He added that the group participants are suspected of involvement in a number of high -profile murders. In particular, on November 26, 2008, the mayor of the city Vitaly Karaev was killed in Vladikavkaz, and in March 2008, Markaev Markaev, the head of the North Ortime of the North Ossetia Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Ossetia, was committed in Vladikavkaz.

In December 2008, the participants of the criminal group were killed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazbek Pagiev and its driver Vladimir Gasiev. On October 1, 2008, in Vladikavkaz, a murder of the head of the UUR department of the Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs Vitaly Cheldiev and his son Zaurbek Cheldiev was committed. In October 2013, Oleg Oziev, deputy prosecutor of the industrial district of Vladikavkaz.

In addition, the Interfax source in the FSB said that members of the groups suspected of high -profile murders also tried to influence political processes in North Ossetia.

During the search in the cottage, 49 units of firearms were found, instruments for silent shooting, 36 grenades, more than 7 thousand ammunition, homemade explosive devices and explosives, portable radio stations, more than 50 sets of uniforms of traffic police and other operational services. The arsenal seized from criminals indicates that they were preparing for new murders, investigators believe.

The criminal community, which included the detainees, was organized by a native of Georgia Aslan Gagiev (Jaco) back in 2007 and specialized in the commission of custom -made murders. Under the leadership of Gagiev, about 30 people worked, who committed a number of high -profile murders both in Moscow and in North Ossetia.

In particular, the participants are suspected of murder in 2011 in Moscow, the deputy director of the “financial leasing company ” , the former owner of the German Wadan Yards shipyard, Andrei Burlakov, and the attempt on his roommate, former deputy chairman of the bank of the world-bank, Anna Etkina. One of the most high -profile crimes committed by the gang participants was the murder of the head of Vladikavkaz Vitaly Karaev in 2008. Early in the morning of November 26, he was shot dead near his own house when he got into a service car to go to work. Killer took only one shot and hit his heart. For this, other crimes, one of the leaders of the group Oleg Gagiev (nicknamed the baby) was sentenced to life imprisonment, and the murder executor Inal Oleev in August 2010 was sentenced to 19 years of imprisonment.

After only a month, on December 31, 2008, another loud murder occurred in Vladikavkaz - the predecessor of Karaev Kazbek Pagiev was shot dead, who had previously left the post of head of the city of his own free will. Killers fired at his Audi-A6 car in the courtyard of a multi-storey building on the street of the Marines, after which they disappeared. In addition to Pagiev, his driver Vladimir Gasiev died.

It should be noted that Gagiev, Ostaev, and five people detained the day before, are far from the only participants in the criminal group, to which investigators and the police managed to get to. So, at the moment, 13 people are already in custody, criminal cases against two more members of the group are under consideration in court, and 10 people, including the head of the criminal organization, are declared on the international and federal wanted list.

The international wanted list is also the leader of the gang Aslan Gagiev, but, according to Markin, sooner or later he will appear before justice. “This is only a matter of time, ” the representative of the UK.
