The Russian millionaire and owner of Transneft Service C Dmitry Arzhanov (Forbes estimates his state at $ 800 million), he called a commotion for Capri. On August 14, he celebrated his birthday on the famous island of Capri (here Lenin) surrounded by more than a hundred guests and with the involvement of the police, which was called by dissatisfied and, by the way, who had seen a lot, including very wealthy vacationers (for example, the Overnisis family), the inhabitants of Capri.

The day before the birthday of Arzhanov, according to Huffington Post Italy, shot for four days the entire five-star Hotel of Capris Palace, a public beach that was closed for local residents, several restaurants and a street cafe, and arranged a mini-register near the shore. This ostentatious luxury led to the bewilderment of the islanders. However, the appeal to the police was caused by another - loud music: she began to rattle from 9 in the morning, which somewhat violated the measured life of Capri.

In the local press, as well as in the video material posted on the website of the Il Sole 24 ORE newspaper (according to the Arzhanov newspaper in the video in Blue Polo), the total cost of the banquet is given - about € 2 million.

Such a demonstrative luxury seemed excessive and slightly upset even to the islanders who are used to seeing the Capri of very wealthy people.

The grief caused not violent behavior of Arzhanov’s guests, although this also annoyed the locals. The participants in the celebration had fun on the completely rented beach Lido del Faro under the pop music, which was put by the Russian DJ. Merring so well that the locals called the police. Kruks, Wanderbilts, Kennedy and Onassis family walked along the core flower paths, ordered their clothes by tailors, enjoyed ice cream and generally mixed with the local population in street cafes. Writers and artists found shelter in Capri.

Celebrities and rich people are now resting on the island, but much has changed. The streets are filled with tourists who come to Capri every day for several hours. In any case, wealthy people do not really seek to converge with local ones, they prefer to appear by helicopter and hide in the bowels of hotels, which are not much different from each other in Capri, on the Riviera or Maldives. In different parts of the world, the rich prefer to appear, avoiding contact with the country and people. This is the attractiveness of the charm El Sheikh in Egypt or Cancun in Mexico, where you can hide in the resort area and not to deal with all these annoying Egyptians and Mexicans, only if they are not waiters or maids.

Rich Russians in the company of long -legged models become more familiar and desirable for Capri, especially against the background of a decreasing tourist market. Local restaurateurs complain that, due to the protracted economic crisis, the end of which is not visible, Italians visit their establishments less and less. The manager of the Kapri Palace hotel told the newspaper Huffinton Post Italia that he is trying to attract customers from non -traditional countries as Brazil, Türkiye, Japan and Korea. And he hopes that his revenue from Russian tourists will double from the current 5% to 10% per year.

Arzhanov is the last in a long row of immigrants from Russia who have been and lived in Capri. Maxim Gorky, also from Nizhny Novgorod, lived on the island from 1906 to 1913. He called Capri a tiny, but lovely island. Lenin came to him twice here. The photograph has been preserved how Gorky and Lenin play chess in Capri. Dmitry Alexandrovich Arzhanov does not make the impression of the convinced Marxist. He was born on August 14, 1972 in Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod), he - the magnate of the era of Vladimir Putin, his path from the unknown state included participation in regional politics, the unification of energy companies and leadership in the production and sale of rice.

Arzhanov wrote out the entertainment of his guests from the mainland of Italian musicians and ordered excursions to Pompey and Herculam - the ruins of ancient Roman cities destroyed during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 BC. The Italian newspaper IL Fatto Quotidiano writes in his investigation that the account for the Capris Palace Hotel was paid by a bank transfer of South Africa and in cash. The Putin ban on the import of agricultural products from the European Union and the USA, of course, does not belong to the Arzhanov party in Italy.
