The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin asked the EU and NATO Military Aid. “If we get such help, it will be easier for our troops to act on the spot,” Klimkina quotes Deutsche Welle . The minister called the threat of the Russian invasion of a very serious one: Ukrainian troops are constantly shelling from the territory of Russia, the supply of weapons and the transfer of militants are not stopped.
Klimkin considers the tactics of Ukrainian troops "more than proportional." According to the minister, residential quarters in the cities of Donbass are exclusively firing separatists. "Sometimes they do it on purpose, then to blame Ukrainian troops - a kind of provocation. Sometimes terrorist groups are fighting among themselves," Klimkin said. He also rejected the accusations of shelling of the Russian territory by government forces of Ukraine.
On Sunday evening, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will meet in Berlin with his Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov. The meeting will also be attended by Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Germany and France Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Laurent Fabius.
