The art director leaves the arena

The art director of the Museum and Exhibition Association (MVO) "Manege" Andrei Vorobyov leaves his post.

As ITAR-TASS reported in the press service of the Moscow Department of Culture, in September, the Kurator Council of the MBU Manege will be formed, which will determine its creative policy.

The director of the museum and exhibition association remains Irina Tolpina, who came there with Marina Loshak, who in the summer of 2013 became the director of the Pushkin (Mlime) State Museum of Fine Arts. Instead, Andrei Vorobyov was appointed art director of the Manezh MVO for a period of one year.

The structure of the MANEZH MVO includes the Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh", "Small Manege" in Georgievsky Lane, the center "Worker and the collective farmer", the exhibition hall "Chekhov's House", the Museum of Vadim Sidur and the Museum-Master of Dmitry Nalbandyan opened after the reconstruction.

On July 3, 2012, after many months of consultations with the Moscow government, a new position of art director of the MVO “Capital” was created specifically for Marina Losak (since September 2012-MVO “Manezh”).

With the advent of the horses, changes in the arena are associated in the exhibition activities of the complex. In particular, exhibitions of the achievements of the national economy ceased in the arena. The exhibition hall is the main platform of the Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, and international projects are carried out in the arena of the international level.
