85 years ago, on August 18, 1929, writer Anatoly Vasilievich Kuznetsov was born, famous for the documentary “Babi Yar” about the extermination of Kyiv Jews by the Nazis.

In 1969, during a trip in London, to collect materials for the story of the II Congress of the RSDLP to the approaching 100th anniversary of Lenin's birth, he became a defector. Later he worked for Radio Liberty.
