In the USA, the army and the largest corporations are connecting to solar energy

US government expert institutions believe that by 2040, renewable energy sources will develop more dynamically than others. The solar, wind and geothermal sectors will almost double by this time; for comparison: gas will add only 56% to energy production. For example, the American solar energy industry already employs 143 thousand people, and it is the fastest growing labor market in the country. So far, the share of the solar sector in total energy production is only 1%, but it seems that this figure will soon increase significantly - this is indicated by the actions of government agencies and large corporations. Thus, the Department of Defense plans to build a 20-megawatt solar installation in Arizona. Apple is converting its facilities to green energy - the company's campuses and data collection centers are already 94% powered from renewable sources. There are two Apple solar power plants in North Carolina, each producing 84 thousand megawatt hours per year. Individuals also make a significant contribution to these statistics. For example, in 2013 in California, the total capacity of solar panels on the roofs of houses reached 1000 MW.
