The Zamoskvoretsky court found Aleksey Gaskarov, Ilya Gushchin, Elena Kokhtareva and Alexander Margolin guilty of participating in the mass riots that allegedly took place on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, 2012, and of using violence against government officials. Gaskarov and Margolin were sentenced to three and a half years in a general regime colony, Gushchin to two and a half years in a general regime colony. Kokhtareva was sentenced to three years and three months of imprisonment with a suspended sentence of three years. The court considered the allegations of police violence to be unproven.
