At the first meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of the Donetsk People’s Republic, in the process of developing the Criminal Code of the self -proclaimed state, they introduced the death penalty for especially serious crimes. This was reported on the website of the DPR with reference to the statement of the first deputy chairman of the government of the Republic Vladimir Antyufev.
“The demand of the people is to stop criminal activity. To do this, it is necessary to take radical measures that would be based on legal provisions, ”Antyufeev explained.
The Prime Minister of the DPR, Adeksandr Zakharchenko, also added that military personnel should be aware of what crimes they commit. In addition, according to Zakharchenko, this measure will minimize cases of looting and banditry. For this, the Prime Minister signed the law “On urgent measures to protect the population from banditry and other manifestations of organized crime” to take office.
The law was developed on the basis of documents of the regulatory framework of the Russian Federation. At the same time, Antyufeev emphasized that such a law is, first of all, the highest degree of social protection.
The self -proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic was founded by militias in April 2014. In addition, in June 2014, the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) and the DPR announced a merger into the Confederate Union of People's Republics. Boris Litvinov became the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the DPR.
